Hi Joni. I meant to write you sooner but immediately got busy with work upon return.

Your place was fantastic! It honestly exceeded my expectations. We spent a lot of our time by the pool and at the palapa just watching the Pelicans and Seagulls cruise the shoreline for fish. We also were able to have Jesus take us out deep sea fishing and snorkeling on 2 separate days. On the fishing trip we caught 10 Slip Jacks (?) which I had never heard of before. Also saw a whale, pods of dolphins, some stingray, and many cervezas. It was quite an experience. The snorkeling was also a great party. There were six of us total for the snorkeling and we had a great time.

The rest of the trip was spent relaxing and reading. We went out to several restaurants including the Black Forest Inn twice, and some other names that I do not recall. Other nights we just cooked in and had drinks around the pool.

Overall, it was one of the best vacations I have ever had. I hope that all is well with you, and I hope that we can maybe spend time there again in the not so distant future.

Hi Joni! I am Bobby's new wife, Virginia. We absolutely loved the villa & had a fabulous honeymoon there. It was a great adventure for the two of us, since neither of us had really traveled outside of the U.S. before. We rented a car & spent lots of time exploring the area.

We did the Canopy tour (highly recommended for thrill seekers) at El Eden (I think that's the name - the one on the site of where the movie Predator was filmed) & incredible - and we have a great DVD from it as proof! We also did the Rhythms of the Night tour (awesome) & went out with Jesus on his boat for a half day of sun & snorkeling (watch out for those jellyfish =) Jesus & Lettie cooked for us one evening & I have never met kinder people..they were great & the food was incredible.

Other meals we tried various restaurants in La Cruz, Bucerias & Pto. Vallarta. Your restaurant list was so valuable...every time we got in the car, I had it with us! And, you should be a food critic, because all of your recommendations were great - La Palapa & River Cafe in particular in Pto Vallarta - great setting with beautiful food presentation & scrumptious taste at both. The only one missing from the list in La Cruz was KB (or Anna) Bananas Beach Club, which we had breakfast at almost every morning (great breakfast for a couple of Southern Folks). Thanks for the tips..we never would've known where to go without it! I think Bobby would tell you that the thing he enjoyed the most was the hammocks!! =) We spent, literally, hours relaxing to the sound of the waves in them...we found that to be one of the best features of the villa itself! I think that hits the highlights. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home to us..I hope we will be able to stay there again in the near future!!

The trip was great.  The house was just as wonderful as described in your advertisement.  Your property manager Steve was more than helpful. The summer nighttime thunderstorms were quite a spectacular sight and put our Arizona monsoons to shame. The pool was a welcome way to cool off after a day of shopping or hiking.  We were able to go snorkeling (highly recommended) and tour the Marietta's islands where the blue footed booby bird lives.  They are almost extinct and we saw several of them. My husband enjoyed a full day of deep sea fishing and even brought home dinner that night, wonderful Mahi-Mahi. 
 
All in all an A +

Joni, all I can say is that we will be back. We had a terrific time. Steve was very helpful and got us anything we needed.The villa was beautiful. We had dinner the first night in La Cruz at Papacitos it was good, we were tired. The next day we walked into the next town down on the beach and had a terrific lunch, shopped  and went back for dinner. My birthday was great we hung out in the sun until around 1:00 and then went into Puerta Vallarta we shopped some more and had dinner at La Panamara it was wonderful.  On Monday we chartered a boat and went snorkling and we saw whales it was awsome. All in all there was something for everyone, the people were great and we came home relaxed and tan, if not a little hung over. Thanks for the great time.

Dear Joni,

We loved your house and had a great time on our vacation.  We especially loved its location within walking distance to the small fishing village. The house was warm and inviting and contained everything we needed.  Steve next door was a great help and provided a lot of great information on local dining and things to do.  We have a lot of great video of the whales we were lucky to see while out with Jesus on his boat and enjoyed his wifes cooking one evening at the villa.  Hope to return again soon.

We had a great time!  The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the pool a lot.  It is so well kept as well as are the entire grounds.  We fell in love with the small town and become regulars at Dos Phillipis.  It was a great experience for us all.  We really enjoyed meeting Anita and her family.  Anita taught us how to make tortillas from scratch on the new tortilla press we had bought.  It was a lot of fun. We had Jesus and Letti come in one evening and prepare a meal for us and our friends and it was delicious!!  The food was great and their company was delightful.  We also had Jesus take us out on his boat for some whale watching and some snorkeling.  This was by far the highlight of our trip.  We were able to see the whales really putting on a show and it was awesome, a once in a lifetime experience for us.  Thank you for sharing your home with us, we are already talking about next years visit, so I'll keep you posted.  Please use any and all of my comments on your site.  (Whale excursion picture below).

We had a wonderful time. Your home is beautiful and Steve was great.  We enjoyed everything. La Cruz was a real treat. We had so much fun in the towns around La Cruz that we did not even go into Puerto Vallarta- except the days for the airport travel.  We went on a boat ride, fished, snorkeled, Barbequed, swam, ate, drank (often), golfed - you name it we did it.
 
Thanks for all of your help. We are already talking about a return visit.

Hi, Joni.  Thank you for the anniversary wishes.  We had a great time.  The house is lovely (!) and was the best part of the trip.  We rented a car for the week, so the house was a great base from which to venture north and south.   We loved the surrounding towns.  We ventured south as far as Chico's Paradise one day and enjoyed that as well (even though I would send people to Punta de Mita before Chico's Paradise).

We really (really!) enjoyed these restaurants in Bucerias: Dugarel's, Meson Bay, and Roga's up on the hill above the highway.  Two afternoons we went to Roga's around 4pm, had oysters and margaritas, and enjoyed the sunset.  Fabulous.  Jesus and Lettie (sp?) cooked for us on our anniversary, and we enjoyed every minute.  My husband is a self-declared flan connoisseur and after having Lettie's, stated it was the best he ever had.  And he has tried a lot.  Steve was very hospitable, helpful, and made us feel at home instantly.

We had a WONDERFUL time!  We basically chilled around the pool for the majority of time we were there.  What a location!  Steve and Jesus and his family were just great!  You are lucky to have such nice folks take care of your place for you.  We loved La Cruz and Bucerias SOOOO much, we're coming back at the end of November (we want to come back often!).  Thank you again for sharing your home with us!

We had a fantastic time! We were a bit nervous about selecting a vacation villa based off of pictures on the Internet, but we were not at all disappointed when we got there. The villa is very upscale and classy. We spent four of our days lounging around the pool listening to Jimmy Buffet CD's and drinking margarita's. My 10 year old son had a great time. He can't stop talking about the trip!

Some of the things we did while we were there: Went to Open Mike night at the Brittania in La Cruz on Wednesday and Saturday nights. They had a great band - we went back a second night. We took two tours with Vallarta Adventures. My wife really liked The Rhythm of the Nights evening - very romantic. We also did thier snorkeling trip to Las Marietas. This was the best snorkeling I have ever seen - I highly recommend it.

Steve was very helpful, and Coco and Juan were great too. We had Jesus and his family cook dinner for us one night in the villa -- it was great, and they cooked so much food that we had left-overs the next night!

All in all it was a wonderful trip. We are already talking about our next trip to Puerto Vallarta!

Hello Ms. Knutson.  We have just returned from our wonderful vacation in Puerto Vallarta.  Your house was absolutely beautiful and perfect.  Steve was extremely nice, and very helpful.  Also, Jesus was sooo good to us.  We arranged to have he and his wife cook dinner for us (which was such an incredible meal), and he took us out on his boat to do some snorkeling.  I just wanted to write and tell you that I’m sure that with such a nice house, and just being where we were we could’ve had a great time; but Steve and Jesus made us feel as though we had some good local friends, and definitely made our time there even more enjoyable.  Thank you, and please thank them if you are in touch.  Jennifer Powell
